DONATE ITEMS TO MAGGIE’S COMMUNITY GARDENS YARD SALE
In 2014, Maggie Valley’s Community Gardens provided produce to feeding programs in the valley:
16 Bushels of potatoes
18 bushels of fresh veggies
7 dozen qts. of frozen corn
200 pumpkins and gourds, plus
Countless hours of fun in the sun”. In addition to this year’s 3 gardens, we will have an apple and cherry orchard, bee hives, and an 80 foot grape arbor.
In 2014. We were able to install the bulk of our gardening infrastructure (fencing, irrigation, etc.) Businesses, Town Hall Leaders, residents, and churches made this possible.
With the above successes under our belt, we hope to have two or three fund-raisers to finance future gardens.
As you prepare for winter, please look for items to donate to our upcoming yard sale on Saturday, October 25.
Leave items at the rock barns covered patio behind Maggie Valley United Methodist Church- where the sale will take place.
Volunteers move donated articles inside on a regular basis.
Thank you for you past support and helping us become self-sufficient.
Even More! Join us for giving garden fun in 2015.
